Templo Debod is a rare Egyptian temple dating back to the year 2 B.C. that was originally built in Aswan, Egypt, but transferred to Spain in 1968. The temple of Debod was due to be demolished in the construction of a dam, so Egypt donated the monument to Spain instead, to be erected in the Parque del Oeste in Madrid.
Temple of Debod is one of very few ancient Egyptian temples that can be seen outside of Egypt and is one of a kind in Spain. Admission to the temple is free.
